Louder in Red 2025
Our Louder in Red Campaign started in January 2025 with the aim of promoting the Conwy Kayak and SUP Conwy brand.
When selecting the defining colour for our kayaks, we wanted something that truly stood out—bold, vibrant, and unmistakably linked to the heritage of Conwy, where our brand was founded. The choice became clear as we looked to the Welsh national flag, drawing inspiration from the fiery red of Y Ddraig Goch (The Red Dragon), a symbol of strength, pride, and unity that has been part of Wales’ story for centuries.
Red: A Vibrant Choice for Safety and Visibility
Red isn’t just a nod to our heritage—it’s also an incredibly practical colour for kayakers and stand-up paddleboarders. On the water, safety is paramount, and visibility plays a huge role in staying safe. Red is one of the most noticeable colours in a variety of conditions, whether it’s sunny, overcast, or even during the early evening when visibility might be reduced. In the unlikely event of an emergency, a bright red kayak can be spotted from a significant distance, making it easier for others, including rescue services, to provide assistance.
